On the weekend of October 18–19, the Smile Vision clinic hosted the first edition of the
Dental Assistant 360 course. The event created a practical and useful learning space.

The idea of this program came from a clear need. Dental assistants want to understand what
they do, why they do it and how they can bring value in the practice.

For this reason, we built a team that offered a complete and practical view.

  • Cristina Lăzuran is a medical assistant and trainer with many years of clinical experience. She explained the logic behind each procedure and the structure of a well organized practice, including sterilization, processes and protocols.
  • Dr. Sorina Oglindă is a dentist who also started her career as a dental assistant. She showed how an efficient assistant works chairside and how a smooth workflow supports the entire team.
  • Mari Zaharia is the clinic manager. She presented the organizational side, leadership principles and the strategic role of the assistant in a high performing medical team. She explained how an assistant can support a dentist who runs a business.
Dental Assistant Course

We welcomed assistants at the beginning of their careers, assistants with at least one year
of experience and participants with many years in the field. They wanted to improve and
optimize their workflow. Together we studied how to work in a more organized way chairside.
We reviewed how to manage consumables and reduce costs. We discussed sterilization
protocols and workflow rules for each specialty. We reviewed common mistakes and shared
practical tips. We also explored how to build strong collaboration with the dentist and with
the clinical team.

A course without notebooks and memorizing
The event focused on real practice. We skipped long theory sessions. The course took place
as a dynamic workshop with exercises, demonstrations and direct participation. The
assistants guided the learning process. Each participant left with clear actions that can be
applied in their own practice.

Visible results from day one
The goal was to create real impact. The participants improved sterilization flow, cabinet
organization and chairside protocols. They learned to structure setups and to understand the
logic behind each clinical step. Many experienced assistants said that they learned new
methods they can apply immediately.

A growing community
The course created a friendly and collaborative space. We met motivated and ambitious
assistants who know now that they have a reliable group for support and advice.

A role with real impact
The course highlighted the importance of the dental assistant’s work. Each detail influences
the costs of the practice, the efficiency of the team and the experience of the patient. Dental
assisting involves logic and responsibility that bring value to both the patient and the medical
team.

We congratulate all participants. We believe they will bring strong improvements to their
practices. The experience confirmed that Dental Assistant 360 is more than a course. It is
the start of a new way of working.
