Medical Town is a specialized medical center led by Dr. Corneliu Cornea, consultant anesthesiologist with over 15 years of international experience. The center provides advanced support for general anesthesia and intravenous sedation through a team of experienced anesthesiologists.
Medical Town integrates operating room safety standards, with fully equipped theaters and modern technology.
This collaboration allows us to safely treat patients who:

- cannot tolerate long procedures,
- have a pronounced gag reflex,
- require complex treatments in a single session.
How the collaboration with Medical Town works
Patients from Smile Vision Clinic who need complex dental treatments and choose to have them performed under intravenous sedation or general anesthesia at Medical Town follow a structured process designed for safety, clarity, and comfort.
The process begins at Smile Vision, where the patient is evaluated by our medical team. After a complete consultation and imaging investigations, such as X-rays or CT scans when needed, a personalized treatment plan is created. At this stage, we assess:
- dental needs,
- general health status,
- medical history,
- patient eligibility for sedation or general anesthesia.
If the patient qualifies for this type of intervention, the Medical Town team takes over the anesthetic evaluation. This includes preoperative discussions, medical risk assessment, and selection of the safest sedation protocol.
After these steps, the intervention date is scheduled. The Smile Vision team travels to Medical Town to perform the dental treatment, working alongside the anesthesia team.
Throughout the entire process, the Smile Vision Patient Care department remains in constant contact with the patient, providing support, information, and coordination, so everything proceeds without stress or uncertainty.
After the intervention, the patient returns to Smile Vision Clinic for postoperative check-ups and for continuation of further treatment stages, when necessary.

Dr. Paul Zaharia
A practicing dentist since 2002, Dr. Paul Zaharia has expertise in prosthodontics, implantology, and mucogingival surgery, with extensive clinical experience in these fields. He is recognized as an implantology expert by the European Dental Association and is among the dentists with the most extensive experience in complex oral rehabilitations and integrated treatment plans.
Dr. Darius Băcăoanu
He graduated from the Faculty of Dental Medicine at “Victor Babeș” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timișoara in 2021 and became a specialist in dento-alveolar surgery in 2025. At Smile Vision, he is actively involved in advanced surgical procedures, complex extractions, implant placement, and preparation of cases for treatments performed under sedation or general anesthesia.
Dr. Corneliu Cornea
Dr. Corneliu Cornea coordinates general anesthesia and intravenous sedation at Medical Town. With extensive experience in managing patients who require long interventions or who present severe anxiety, associated medical conditions, or inability to tolerate conventional treatments, he ensures patient safety, monitoring, and comfort throughout the entire procedure.
